Announcements and social media:

Parties commit to each other not to write or speak ill of each other, as a result of which their mutual justified interests could be harmed. In case employee possesses a LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or any other (social media) profile, which among other things mentions employer as the employer of employee, employee will ensure that at the latest on the termination date the profile is adjusted, so that employer is no longer mentioned as current employer from that moment.

Online statements have an increasingly prominent role in our current society. So also at work. Much of our work nowadays happens online, making expressions more and more online. It is important that clear arrangements are made in a settlement agreement about the use of social media, or rather about ceasing it, if necessary in combination with a penalty clause.  

For employers, it can moreover be interesting to make arrangements about the use of social media by employees already at the start of the employment. Our jurists can also assist you in this.
