Better a good neighbor...

Than (too) high rent.

As a tenant in the Netherlands, you generally have extensive rental protection. However, practice often differs from the law. For instance, your landlord may repeatedly fail to perform necessary maintenance (on time), or a significant rent increase is suddenly imposed. Or perhaps you experience (major) disturbance from your neighbors and don’t know what you can do. These are common situations that arise in practice. As a tenant, whether of a residential property or a commercial space, you want to know where you stand and understand your rights and obligations. We are here to help, as rental law is not always straightforward or clear.
